Ways to Serve

Find upcoming events & opportunities to serve below. No upcoming events? You can serve with our community partners anytime! Visit their websites for information on ways to serve.

We are partnering with the Taylor Family YMCA by participating in their Holiday Gift Drive, which will serve hundreds of kids in need.

Three ways to serve:

1. Buy Gifts: On November 23 & November 30 you can pick up an ornament from the lobby. Each ornament includes gift suggestions for a child. Bring the gifts back to the Cary Campus on either November 30 or December 7. Please purchase an outfit and 2 toys for each child.

2. Buy wrapping materials (paper, tape, ribbon, bows) to be used at the shopping event. Bring them to the Cary Campus on either November 30 or December 7.

3. Serve at the ‘Store:’ The Y will take all the gifts for all the ornaments and will set up a “store” where parents will shop and pick out specific items for their kids. You can serve at the shopping event on December 13. Sign up here.

Below are the Christmas Outreach Opportunities at our North Raleigh campus.

All gifts must be dropped off to 9500 Durant Rd by November 23. Keep reading for more details, or stop by the tables in the lobby beginning November 1 & 2.

MOHI - Missions of Hope International

We partner with Missions of Hope International (MOHI) to help sponsor children in Kenya!

-What is the cost of sponsoring a child?

Sponsorships are $40 per month for a child to have two meals a day, gain a valuable education, have medical and dental care, and continue growing in their relationship with Jesus. There are a few children who attend the boarding school at Joska who are considered the most at risk while living in the slums. These sponsorships are $70 per month to cover the cost of their living expenses at the school.

-How long can children be sponsored?

Children in developing countries often do not start school at the same age as children in the United States, so it is hard to define a specific age range. In most cases, children can be recruited into the program as young as pre-school age (age 4) and can remain in our program up to a year after graduating from high school.
