 Upcoming Trips:

  • Providing “Crowd Connector” support at the Reunion Concert at Harrah’s Cherokee Center – Asheville. This special evening marks the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Helene. See more details (and the DCC logo!) here.
  • Delivering supplies donated by the people of Devoted City Church on 9/20 & 9/21.
  • Worship with the Swannanoa Church on Sunday, September 28 as they reflect on the last year.
October 9-11 – Trip Focus:  Demo of a damaged mobile home to allow the site to be prepared for installation of a new home for a single mom and her young daughter.  The main activity will be moving debris to dumpsters.

General Details:

  • Trips are led by volunteers. All communication will be with the trip leader.
  • The trip will cost $65 to cover food, lodging, and equipment costs. We have scholarships available if this is keeping you from being able to serve.
  • We are staying at a local church building, please bring your own bedding including an air mattress/cot. A shower is available – don’t forget your toiletries/a towel.
  • For construction trips: No open toed shoes, plan to wear long pants & gloves (We are in the Swannanoa area, check weather before the trip). Tools will be provided but if you have a hammer, tape, impact driver, etc. feel free to bring with you – mark your tools well!
  • Fill out the trip interest form to get in contact with our trip leader, Bob Bittner.
