Christmas Serving Opportunities

‘Tis the season to serve our city (and our world)!

At North Raleigh & Cary, we are partnering with organizations & schools to support families in need this Christmas. For all the information, check out our City Serving page.

North Raleigh

Operation Christmas Child: Help provide toys and supplies for kids in need this Christmas. Pick up a box on Sunday, Nov. 5 or Monday, Nov. 6. All boxes are due back by Sunday, Nov. 19.

Raleigh Dream Center: We are helping with RDC’s ‘Pass the Joy’ Toy Drive. Bring a new, unwrapped, $10 toy to church with you by December 4.

• Raleigh Dream Center has many ways to serve, so get a group together and volunteer at one of their events! Their biggest event is the Christmas Adopt a Block on December 9. Sign up here. Learn more about RDC and other holiday events on their website.

Brentwood Elementary Angel Tree: All 51 families are covered! Thanks for caring for these families. If you are buying gifts for a child from the Angel Tree don’t forget these important steps:

• Individually wrap all gifts and clearly write their number on each gift. (i.e. 4A)
• Return wrapped & labaled gifts to the North Raleigh building by December 3.

Cary

Encouragement for Teachers & School Staff: After service on November 26 we’ll write encouraging cards to the teachers and staff of Laurel Park Elementary School. Come ready to write because we have 100 cards to send!

Taylor Family YMCA Holiday Gift Drive: On Nov. 26 we’ll kick off the Holiday Gift Drive! You can pick up an ornament with a child’s wishlist on the 26th, and all gifts are due back by December 10.

Additional ways to serve the YMCA during the Holiday Gift Drive:

• Sorting Gifts: On Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 5:30-8pm the YMCA staff needs help sorting all the gifts. All ages welcome, this is a great way to serve as a family! Sign up here.
• The Shopping Event: On Satuday, Dec. 16 serve by wrapping gifts, helping with check-in, etc. This is another great way to serve as a family or a group. Sign up here.
