I never planned on being a pastor. But God relentlessly pursued me with His grace until I gave in. Years back, I was living far from God—a reminder that continues to motivate me to help others find their way. I spent 12 years in college ministry in West Virginia, Louisiana, and North Carolina before God called me to plant a church. My family has called Raleigh home since 1998. My wife, Cinda, and I have three daughters: Molly, Abby, and Lexi.

My wife Christine and I have been mission partners with Devoted City since 2019, and I joined staff in 2023. I served in public education administration in Ohio for 22 years, served as Executive Pastor at churches in Ohio and Florida for a total of 8 years, and served with Christian Financial Resources for 4 years. I am excited for what God has done and will do through Devoted City Church to help people find, trust, and follow Jesus. We have been married since 1989 and have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Living most of our lives in Ohio has caused us to be avid Ohio State Buckeye fans!

I was born and raised in Danville, Virginia, but I always knew I’d call Raleigh my home eventually. Our family loves it here! I studied music at Liberty University and attended Word of Life Bible Institute the years before that. Sarah and I were married in 2012 and we have 3 kids – Charis, Logan, and Emory. We also have a Black Labrador named Oliver. I love coffee, guitars, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and taking as many family beach trips as we can. Our family loves Devoted City Church and we are grateful that God called us here. I joined the Devoted City team in 2019 as the Worship Arts Pastor. My heartbeat is that worship would be so much more than a song to our church as we pursue a life devoted to Christ.

“There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.”
C.S. Lewis.
Serving others in ministry was never a desire for me as a young child, but God grabbed a hold of my heart and I have loved helping others foster and nurture their relationship with Jesus ever since.
I have served in many different ministries since 2013. Along the way, I grabbed my Bachelors in Preaching and Church Leadership from Johnson University and my Masters of Divinity from Liberty University. Along with serving in the local church, I have worked as a Chaplain Candidate in the Army Reserves since 2021. My day is made when I have a warm beverage on my porch at my apartment, grabbing sushi and cheesecake with my beautiful wife, Shelby, and chatting about sports, especially European soccer.
Shelby and I are grateful to be serving at Devoted City and pray God continues to deepen your love for Him!

I have lived in Raleigh since 1991. Me and my wife Kim have two children, Nick and Elizabeth. I started following Jesus in 1982 but never imagined being a pastor. For 18 years I served as an IBM software engineer, loving the work and the people I did it with. Through a difficult season of healing, I grew in trusting Jesus to lead me day to day – and my mission became helping others find that same comfort and purpose. In 2005, God led me to carry that mission into leadership at Devoted City. I love introducing people to Jesus and helping them grow in their faith, no matter where they are in their journey.

I grew up near the coast of northeast North Carolina and have lived most of my life in our state. I was a campus ministry with Campus Christian Fellowship at NC State University and also served as head basketball coach and athletic director for about 6 years before God called me back into full-time ministry. I am a huge sports fan and especially love college basketball. My wife Laura and I love connecting with people and helping them connect with God.

I am from Upstate New York. I went to Word of Life Bible Institute in Florida (to get out of the cold!) and then followed my husband to Memphis, TN where got married and had our first daughter, Zoe. We moved home because we felt that was what you needed to do when you had kids, had two more girls (Brooklyn and Nora) and were miserable with the weather and decided it was time to look south again. In 2015, God turned that tiny crack of me telling Jay “You can look for a job down south” into a garage door (I’d say) because in 2 months we were moved and settled here in the Raleigh area. We absolutely LOVE the Raleigh and wouldn’t be anywhere else (unless the Lord wills). Our family has been a part of Devoted City since 2021 when my daughter fell in love with the youth department. Jay immediately jumped on the worship team and I joined the staff in 2022 as Donnie’s assistant. I have loved getting to see all the ins and outs of our church and along with seeing God’s hand at work from behind the scenes.

My husband, Jeff, and I have 3 sons who have blessed us with fun and energetic grandkids. We love spending our free time with them as much as possible! We’ve been at Devoted City since 2010 after moving from Cincinnati, OH where we had lived for 20 years. The first and only church we visited was DCC. 2 of our sons, who were teenagers at the time, loved the youth group so we decided to stay. I got involved in women’s Bible study and quickly felt a part of the church. Prior to moving here, I had been a SAH mom for 20 years and also homeschooled our sons. Shortly after moving to Raleigh, God opened up a job opportunity at Devoted City in 2010. Being on staff has been a huge joy for me! My relationship with Jesus has grown more since coming to DCC than it had in my prior 30+ years of being a Christ follower.

I am originally from New Mexico and had lived all over the southwest before meeting my wife in Arizona in 2010. I received my degree in Public Safety Administration from Grand Canyon University. We eventually moved to the DC area where our beautiful daughter was born. After spending 6 “long” years in DC, God brought us to Raleigh in 2019, where we are closer to family. (My wife is from Raleigh!) We tried several churches in the Raleigh and Wake Forest area, but we knew we found our church home after our first visit to Devoted City. My faith had started growing several years ago and, after spending 22 diverse years in law enforcement, I felt called to start a new season of my life where I can serve in a more fulfilling way. I look forward to making sure everyone’s Devoted City experience is safe and comfortable. If you see me around, please say hello, as I love meeting new people.

My husband Rob and I have been part of Devoted City since 2004, when our two kids were still in elementary school. I’m thankful for all the great leaders at Devoted City who have invested in us over the years. I started following Christ when I was very young and have grown and learned so much while at Devoted City. I joined staff in 2007 and love helping people find and take next steps in their faith. I also love coffee, good food, beautiful words, and things that make me laugh.

I was born and raised in West Virginia. I met my husband, Donnie, at Marshall University, and we started our family while serving in campus ministry at LSU. In 1998, we came to North Carolina to work with NCSU students. Knowing we were called to church planting, we ended up at Devoted City Church in 2004. Being an encouraging wife and a loving mother has been my most important ministry, but I’m also passionate about supporting Devoted City staff and creating environments where people can connect with God, connect with others, and find hope.

Born and raised in Raleigh, I grew up through the different ministries at Devoted City. I met my wife, Molly, during the first week my family attended Devoted City when I was 7 years old. I attended UNCW, and after Molly and I got married in 2019 we came back to Raleigh where I started running outdoor recreation programs for the City of Raleigh. My passion is to help students get excited about the Bible and to create experiences that build meaningful community. I also love learning new things, Taco Bell Fire Sauce, breakfast food, fermenting things, climbing trees, baking bread, and getting to spend quality time with people.

I am from Alabama (roll tide!) and later graduated from Johnson University with a degree in Youth Ministry and Bible & Theology. I then spent two years as a Student Ministry resident in Louisville, KY. Upon completing my residency, the Lord opened the door for me to return to Devoted City where I had previously been a student myself from 2012-2015! I am passionate about the next generation knowing and loving Jesus and Scripture. They have so many voices trying to grab their attention at any moment – my prayer is that the Lord’s is the loudest in their life. My top five favorite things are sunsets, roller coasters, fireworks, front porch swings and the beach, and my superpower is drinking a lot of caffeine on an empty stomach and still being a functional human being. 🙂

I love the local church! Since growing up at Devoted City and working for a church planting organization, I’ve seen firsthand how the local church makes a difference. I met my husband, Nick, at Devoted City. We both attended UNCW (wings up) and now live in Raleigh with our pup, Yoshi. I love the outdoors, rock climbing, photography, and coffee shops – all of that being the best when I’m with friends!

I am a Raleigh native with a passion for Jesus, football, golf, coffee, firepits, mustangs, and the beach. I was raised in a Christian home and have attended Devoted City since third grade. As a freshman in high school, I felt called to ministry and began interning in several different ministries at Devoted City to home in on that calling. Eventually, I felt God drawing me to create visuals that inspire vulnerability and to produce moments that turn into movements for Him. I am blessed to be pursuing that mission full-time here alongside my childhood church family.

I grew up at Devoted City Church, and my family and I had served for 16 years here until we were called to move to Michigan in 2021 to be near my grandparents as they are getting older in age. I attended Olivet Nazarene University for two years studying graphic design, and then the Lord called me back here to Raleigh to do a residency with Devoted City Church in Worship Arts as I complete my graphic design degree through Liberty University! I’m so grateful to be back and to be serving in both worship and graphics, learning and growing and serving with this church again. I plan to graduate in Spring 2025 and see where the Lord leads after that!

I grew up in Florida. I spent my teens and twenties on the road, playing guitar and bass in touring bands. In between tours, I served at my home church as a musician and mix engineer. That is where I fell in love with helping create distraction free environments for people to encounter Jesus.
I have always loved North Carolina and I finally got the opportunity to move here in 2017. As soon as I started attending Devoted City, it felt like home.
I love coffee shops, music studio gear, and spending time with my wife, Sarah, and our cat, Benny.

I love Jesus, and I love people, so my favorite thing to do is to help people connect with other people who will bring them closer to Jesus. I grew up in West Virginia where I met and married my high school sweetheart. We have three wonderful sons who are married to amazing women, and we currently have seven grandchildren. We moved to North Carolina in 1985, and God has blessed us with wonderful friends and an awesome church family. After homeschooling our sons and then working in a law firm, I joined the church staff in 2016. I enjoy working with group leaders and helping people get connected in Biblical community. I also write and teach a women’s Bible study twice a year, and that gives me so much joy because I love creating a space where women of all ages and stages of life can come together to study God’s Word and learn how it applies to our lives.

I have lived in Raleigh since 1993 with my husband, Michael, and our two daughters, Lauren and Lindsey. We came to Devoted City for the first time in 2004 and fell in love with the church, children’s programs, and the people. As a stay-at-home mom, I wanted to do anything she could to help out at Devoted City, which turned into a part-time job I have long enjoyed. I grew up in church but never really developed a one-on-one relationship with God until much later. I’m grateful to have finally learned that God meets us right where we are, no matter how hurt or broken we feel.

I grew up in Western North Carolina and moved to Raleigh to attend NC State University (go Pack!). My wife Ashley and I have two incredible daughters, and we’ve called Wake Forest home since 2011. We began attending Devoted City Church in late 2014, where we learned what it meant to truly find community and get connected with others that sought to shepherd us on our spiritual journey. What started as joining a volunteer team on Sunday mornings a decade ago led to God moving in my heart in such a way that I felt a calling towards ministry after a 20 year career in a corporate role. Fostering meaningful relationships and walking alongside others during trials of life are areas the Holy Spirit has encouraged me to lean into. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of the staff at DCC and help as many people as possible find, trust, and follow Jesus.

I am originally from the Chicago area where my husband and I raised 2 beautiful daughters. We fell in love with North Carolina after visiting the area several times and decided to move here in 2020. We found Devoted City Church online at the time, since most of the churches were closed due to COVID. We became regular attenders shortly thereafter and got involved in Small groups. In April 2023, I retired from practicing pharmacy after 35 years. I have always served others throughout my career and felt that the time had come to find a way to serve the Lord. One week after retiring from the profession of pharmacy, Pastor Donnie mentioned in his sermon how great it would be if Devoted City Church could be staffed with the same people that attended the church. I felt that this was the Lord prompting me to reach out to the church and see if there was a need for someone like me. A few weeks later I began serving the Lord and his church as the North Raleigh Campus Admin for Devoted City Church. Now I look forward to seeing how the Lord will guide my steps to assist our staff in ministering to others so that they can find, trust and follow Jesus!

I was born in El Salvador and raised in Maryland, where I met my husband, Eric, and had two children: Cristina and DJ. I have a background in physical therapy and have been a licensed PTA since 2012. We moved to North Carolina in 2017 and first came to Devoted City in the spring of 2018. I started volunteering at the Welcome Tent before taking on the role of Guest Services Director. I’m thankful for the Lord using my skills however He sees fit. I enjoy reading, music, crafting, theater, and all things artsy.

I grew up in Massachusetts and spent 35 years in software engineering. I met my wife, Jana, at work, and we married in 1992. We spent about 8 years in Boston before feeling led to North Carolina. We moved to Cary and found Devoted City, a place that has been transformational for both of us. Serving others, especially in the area of hunger relief, has always been important to me. Volunteering at food banks, kitchens, and shelters has always brought me joy. I also enjoy walks with Jana, coffee, good food, board games, and biking.
