A way to care for, shepherd, and challenge one another in our walk with Jesus.
Church isn't something you attend, it's a mission you join.
It’s not membership, it’s a partnership. Mission Partnership is about being on mission, not just around it.
It’s a commitment to help people find, trust, and follow Jesus, together. It’s the difference between consuming church and becoming the church. The idea comes from the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 1:
Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now.
You don’t have to be a Mission Partner to take next steps at Devoted City. But becoming one lets us know you’re ready to fully link arms with this church family so we can care for you well, equip you intentionally, and walk with you as you grow in your faith.
Who is a Mission Partner?
Four characteristics of a Mission Partner at Devoted City:
Follower of Jesus.
You’ve accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior and want to follow Him.Has been baptized.
We believe in baptism by immersion. Learn more about baptism.- Acknowledges the belief statements of Devoted City.
These beliefs guide what we do as a church. You don’t need to be a theologian to be a mission partner, we just ask that you know what we believe and teach at Devoted City. - Engages in the mission of the Church.
We hope all mission partners are engaged in the life of our church – whether that’s serving, joining a group, inviting others, etc.
What does a Mission Partner do?
Mission Partners are committed to the mission of helping people find, trust, and follow Jesus. Below are the four ways we see mission partners joining in on the mission. You may already be a mission partner!
- Attending
- Serving
- Being in a group
- Giving financially
Why become a Mission Partner?
Knowing you’re a mission partner helps us care for you in your walk with Jesus. It helps fulfill the vision of becoming a growing community devoted to Christ, His Church, and its mission as we serve and reach our city with the Gospel.

No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, there is a place for you at Devoted City. Our prayer for you is to grow in your faith and join in the mission of helping people find, trust, and follow Jesus. You don’t have to be a mission partner to take a next step and grow in your faith.
